Furniture Trends: Colors, Patterns, & Materials You’ll Love
Every chance we get, my team and I head to the High Point Furniture Market to stay ahead of the curve and bring back inspiration for our clients. It’s always an adventure—walking miles of showrooms, testing endless cushions (because style and comfort should always go hand in hand!), and soaking in the creativity around every corner. This year, a few standout trends caught my eye, and I’m excited to share them with you.

1. A Return to Tradition
The overall mood at High Point felt like a warm embrace of timeless styles. Heirloom-inspired designs, classic silhouettes, and a sense of nostalgia are defining this return to traditional aesthetics.

2. Burl Wood Beauty
We’ve been working with a lot of rift-cut oak lately, so it’s exciting to see burl wood making a comeback. Especially when stained in darker tones, it can be incredibly striking. With its intricate grain patterns, burl wood adds a subtle yet luxurious touch of texture and vintage charm to any space.

3. Deep Green Tones
Contrary to the dominance of blue in recent years, green has taken center stage. This year’s greens are richer and moodier, adding depth and serenity to interiors. Whether used in paint, furniture, or accessories, these tones evoke a connection to nature while beautifully complementing traditional elements.

4. Clay Colors for Warmth
Balancing the deep greens are warm and earthy clay tones. Think terracotta, muted corals, and sunbaked hues that ground a room with softness and timeless appeal.

5. Florals in Full Bloom
Floral patterns are flourishing—big, bold, and unapologetically beautiful. They’re showing up in wallpaper, upholstery, and textiles, bridging the gap between classic elegance and fresh, modern design.

6. Ticking Stripes for Subtle Charm
A favorite of traditional and casual designs alike, ticking stripes are back in a big way. Their understated, linear pattern adds texture without overpowering a room, making them a versatile choice for upholstery and accents.

7. Lucite Accents for a Modern Touch
Lucite, a type of high-quality acrylic often used as a substitute for glass, also made its apperance. We saw lucite featured in everything from furniture legs and table tops to decorative accessories and even lighting.

8. Round Pillows for Whimsy
Pillows everywhere—and we can’t get enough of them! Soft, circular shapes are leading the trend, adding a playful touch and beautifully contrasting structured silhouettes and clean lines.
